MoU with Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS), New Delhi
The Department of Defence and Strategic Studies, Sri Balaji University, Pune has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS), New Delhi on 30th August 2024. This collaboration aims to strengthen academic, research, and training capabilities in the areas of national security, international relations, defence studies, and strategic affairs.
Objectives of the MoU
The partnership seeks to enhance educational and research capabilities through the following collaborative initiatives:
- Joint Certification Programs: Both institutions will jointly certify certificate courses conducted on themes related to national security, international relations, defence policy, and strategic studies.
- Faculty Exchange: Exchange of faculty members to promote academic interaction, knowledge sharing, and joint teaching initiatives.
- Exchange of Research Scholars and Students: Opportunities for research scholars and students to participate in academic programs, research activities, and training modules at both institutions.
- Information and Resource Sharing: Exchange of academic material, research publications, data, and other resources in areas of mutual academic interest.
- Collaborative Research and Lectures: Joint research projects, seminars, workshops, conferences, and expert lectures to advance scholarly research and practical understanding of defence and strategic studies.
Significance of the Collaboration
This MoU marks an important step towards fostering academic excellence, policy-oriented research, and strategic capacity building. It provides a strong platform for scholars, students, and faculty to engage with national and international security issues through interdisciplinary research and academic cooperation.
