MoU With Headquarters Southern Command Hq Sc Indian Army

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Sri Balaji University, Pune and Headquarters Southern Command (HQ SC), Indian Army on 15 September 2023.

The purpose of this MoU is to establish a collaborative framework between the University and the Armed Forces to encourage innovation, research, capability building, and academic cooperation in defence and strategic domains.

Objectives of the MoU

The collaboration aims to promote cooperation in the following areas:

• Innovation and Research Collaboration: Joint initiatives to promote research and innovation in defence, security studies, technology, and related interdisciplinary areas.
• Joint Projects and Publications: Collaborative research projects, academic publications, and policy-oriented studies in areas of mutual interest.
• Patents and Technology Development: Cooperation in technology development, intellectual property generation, and patentrelated activities.
• Training and Capacity Building: Joint training programs, higher training modules, and professional development initiatives for students, faculty, and defence personnel.
• Distance Education and Certification Programs: Development of certification courses and distance education programs in defence studies, strategic affairs, and allied disciplines.

Significance of the Collaboration

This MoU strengthens the University’s engagement with the Armed Forces and provides a platform for advanced research, innovation, and skill development. It enhances academicindustry-defence integration and contributes to national capacity building in strategic and security studies.
