The Master of Arts in National Security is designed to equip participants with an in-depth understanding of India’s national security practices. This comprehensive program brings together diverse perspectives from security practitioners and civil society, fostering discussions on key themes such as governmental responses to strategic challenges, cybersecurity, terrorism, economic security, and environmental security.
The curriculum addresses two significant areas of security studies : traditional security and non-traditional security. This dual focus encompasses the external and internal security challenges faced by India, providing a holistic view of the nation’s security landscape.
The program combines both theoretical and practical aspects of national security, offering a thorough review of relevant issues. Coursework will be enriched through guest lectures from eminent experts and the implementation of innovative pedagogical techniques that enhance learning.
The program welcomes applications from anyone with a graduate degree, including defense officers on study leave, journalists, and professionals, as well as students eager to gain a deeper understanding of India’s national security framework.
The University has a criterion of 90% attendance for Master of Arts in National Security students who sit /opt for Placement Process. There will be some relaxation for Army Officers, however UGC guidelines will be adhered to.
