On 8th March 2025, at Sri Balaji University (SBUP), Pune and SDSS had the honor of hosting the distinguished guest speaker, Lt Gen (Dr) N.S. Sarna, AVSM, SM,VSM Commandant, School of Artillery , who delivered an insightful talk on the topic, “Enhancing Competencies by Imbibing Values from Army Culture & Environment.”

The event culminated with the Unveiling and Presentation of the “Grateful Gunner Trophy,” a mémentos occasion that celebrated excellence and dedication in the field.

A faculty delegation visited the Military College of Materials Management, Jabalpur on the 28^th of January, 2025. The purpose of the visit was to forge a collaboration with this esteemed Centre of learning. The SBUP Team gave a detailed presentation on the University to the MCMM team in presence of Lt Gen Sanjay Sethi, Commandant of MCMM.

January 10^th, 2025, Sri Balaji University, Pune’s School of Defence and Strategic Studies - witness the Topchi Exercise at Deolali Camp School of Artillery, Nashik.

To learn the fine values of discipline and commitment inherent in Armed Forces the Topchi Exercise for annual firepower demonstration and training exercise. A students and staff members from Sri Balaji University, Pune, attended this event.

On January 03^rd 2025 Sri Balaji University, Pune’s School of Defence and Strategic Studies witness Know Your Army Mela at Racecourse Pune.

The “Know Your Army Mela” was a significant event aimed at fostering awareness about the Indian Army's legacy and inspiring youth to explore careers in the armed forces, which provided an enriching educational experience.

On December 17, 2024, a group of students from SBUP Students visited the National Defence Academy (NDA) at Khadakwasla, Pune. The visit was organized with the aim of exposing the students to the rigorous training, discipline, and environment at one of India’s premier institutions for training future leaders of the Indian Armed Forces.

On 14^th December 2024, Sri Balaji University, Pune, hosted a special talk titled “A Tribute to the Valour of the Indian Armed Forces” organized by the School of Defence & Strategic Studies (SDSS). The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the distinguished guest,
Lt Gen Shamsher Singh Mehta, PVSM, AVSM and Bar, VSM (Retd.), a revered 1971 Indo-Pak War veteran. The session provided an insightful reflection on the valour, resilience, and strategic brilliance of the Indian Armed Forces during the 1971 war.

The Convergence of Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy and India’s Act East Policy: Debunking the Myth and Challenges of the Malacca Dilemma.
